Welcome to East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) our new LTST Charity Partner for seasons 2026/27 and 2027/28
We’re delighted to announce the result of our recent survey, which asked Trust members to select from an outstanding choice of six local charities, all of which do amazing work in and around the Luton and Bedfordshire area.
There was a terrific response with a large number of you placing those six charities in your order of preference, with points awarded for places. All of the charities, deservedly, attracted a strong response, and when we totted up the points it was a close thing – but one name came out on top.
Congratulations and welcome to East Anglian Air Ambulance, who we know you’ll support generously over the coming seasons, as you always do.
As a reminder, here’s how East Anglian Air Ambulance was introduced to you in our survey: “EAAA brings the hospital to the patients from road collisions to cardiac arrest to medical emergencies to give everyone the best possible chance of surviving and recovering. EAAA is active in Luton, responding, on average 30 times a year and in 2025, responded in Bedfordshire to 126 incidents in which 70 patients were treated. Most recently, EAAA responded to the train crash near Bedford that affected so many”
The next step is for East Anglian Air Ambulance to meet with the Trust board to talk about their aims and ambitions for the partnership. We’ll be taking that opportunity to discuss some of the many innovative and impactful fundraising ideas you suggested to us through the survey.
Your input is what always makes our Charity Partnerships ‘tick’, so thank you – and please keep up the good work and your generous support. You can and do make a really positive difference to the lives of many in our local area.
Finally, we’d like to thank the other five wonderful charities, Luton Foodbank, Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, Adoption Plus, Bedford MS Therapy Centre and Noah Enterprise who took part. We’d love to support you all – your work is amazing and you all make a big contribution to the community – but for optimum impact, our focus is on our chosen partner for their two years.
We’re very much looking forward to working with and for East Anglian Air Ambulance, and we’ll be in touch again soon to tell you what comes next!
