Simon Sluga and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall were the big winners at the Luton Town Supporters’ Trust Virtual Awards Event, which was released on YouTube on Monday evening.
The popular stopper took the coveted Player of the Season crown, voted for by the members of LTST, while he also took the Bobbers Travel Away Player of the Season award as well.
In terms of number of awards won, the evening was largely about loan ace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The Leicester City midfielder was voted the Player of the Season by his teammates, as well as landing the Junior Supporters’ Player of the Season award on top of the Ian Pearce Memorial Trophy and the Internet Player of the season.
The first award of the evening went to Kazenga LuaLua, the winner of the Goal of the Season for his wonderful strike away to Wycombe Wanderers last month, while Aidan Francis-Clarke was given the award for the Young Player of the Season.
On an evening where we paid tribute to fans, former players and staff members who passed away in the last 12 months in our ‘In Memoriam’ tribute, our special achievement award went to Thommie Lundqvist of the Scandinavian Hatters group.
He was awarded the Kevin Catlin Memorial Trophy for his dedication to supporting Luton Town overseas, creating and maintaining the interest in Scandinavia as well as continuing the spread the good word of the Hatters. The Scandinavian Hatters also give a lot to the community and are regular donators to SoLYD, leading to Thommie being a perfect recipient of our award.

Once again our thanks go out to our host of the event, Simon Pitts, and to club photographer Gareth Owen for giving us access to the shots used throughout the event.
