We were fortunate enough to have a column in the e-programme for the Birmingham City match on Tuesday evening. For those who didn’t get a copy of the edition here it is in full.
Chairman’s Message
Good evening. Firstly let me begin this message by saying that I hope you are all keeping safe and well in what are different and difficult times for many.
As lockdowns and the precautions for Covid-19 continue, we have been forced to follow the fortunes of the Town from afar, but I am sure I speak for many when I say what a brilliant start to the season it has been, following on from the wonderful end to last term and the joyous scenes after the victory against Blackburn Rovers.
Despite the hectic schedule and the disadvantages that the pandemic has brought, the club continues to defy expectations on and off the pitch, surprising many including one or two of those we face who appear to think we might be something of a soft touch. How wrong they are!
We are now 12 games into the season and sitting on 18 points, just four points away from the play-offs, this has been a wonderful run of results, with the only disappointment that we have not been able to support the lads from inside the stadium. Hopefully the world can return to some sort of normality as soon as possible and we can all get back to enjoying that magical atmosphere that nights like tonight usually provide.
It has been a busy time on the field and it has been equally as busy off it since my last message. I am extremely proud that I have a team of board members who despite the ongoing pandemic have not downed tools, but are coming up with new ideas and initiatives of ways we can keep moving forward despite the restrictions everyone is abiding to at present. I can assure you that will continue despite the challenges it brings.
We have recently had to make some changes to the board. With that in mind, I would like to officially welcome Peter Mitchell to the role of secretary. Peter replaces Nikki Middleton in that position with Nikki dropping down to being a regular board member. I thank Nikki for all her hard work as secretary and look forward to working closer with Peter. I would also like to thank Malcolm Scott for his contribution over his time on the board, after accepting his resignation due to personal reasons.
I will finish this message by thanking everyone who continues to give their support to the Trust, whether that comes by being a member or simply sending messages of support. It is very much appreciated, even more so in these testing times.
I know it is different not being at the Kenny cheering the lads on, but I hope you can enjoy tonight’s game as much as you can. Hopefully we will be celebrating another three points being added to the total at the end of it.

AGM
It is that time of year where we will be staging our AGM. This year it takes place on Thursday 26th November, however due to the lockdown the meeting will be held on Zoom. Members should have received details of the AGM via email earlier in the week. If you would like to attend please become a member and we will send you an invite. We look forward to seeing you on the platform and sharing the wonderful progress we have made over the last 12 months with you.
Survey
Prior to the season starting we asked you to fill out a survey, from which the views that we received would assist us in moving forward as an organisation. The response was excellent and we would like to thank everyone who took the time to complete the survey. We are counting up all the data at present and will release the results in due course. We will also be announcing the winners of the prize draw in that period too.

If you are a member of the Trust you will have access to our brand new app. You will have been sent the details by email when we activated your membership for this season. We are pleased that so many of you have already downloaded the app. If you haven’t yet and would like to, let us know and we will re-send you the details of how you can download it and receive up to date news and benefits that being a Trust member brings.

We are still accepting memberships for the 2020/21 period. If you have not already taken up the option to renew or join and would like to do so, you can complete your membership via our website.

Keeping in touch
There are a number of ways for supporters to keep in touch with us at present. There is our regular podcast, the latest episode of which saw Simon Pitts join Kev, James and Tony and was made available for download last week.
