Nick Owen

LTFC Chairman Nick Owen has stood down after 9 years in the role. Nick was the public face of the 2020 consortium which took over the club in 2008 at the time we were perilously close to going out of business. Nick said “I have a significant number of other commitments and I feel that I am unable to dedicate the time and effort that I feel the role now deserves.”

Nick was a familiar face at Kenilworth Road and will be remembered for his approachability by fans. On a personal note I immensely enjoyed waxing lyrical with Nick about the ‘good old days’ at the club, to wit Graham French, Malcolm MacDonald et al!

Nick will become a Vice President and will continue to be seen at matches. Chief Executive Gary Sweet said “Nick has been a wonderful ambassador for us and he leaves with our best wishes and profound gratitude.”

The Trust would like to echo those sentiments and wish Nick every success in the future.

There is no immediate news on who Nick’s successor will be.

  1. Kevin Rouse says:

Just like to thank Nick for all of his efforts from the time of the turmoil we faced as a club to the brink of a new football stadium. He has been the figurehead of the club and has done an excellent job in the process. I wish him well in what ever he does next.
