  1. John Pyper says:

    Dear LTST,
Yes, got my place booked with a table of 10 other supporters. Looking forward to what should be a great night of ‘Nostalgia and great memories’ for me being the love affair with the Hatters from the mid to early 60’s onwards. Bruce Rioch was a big hero of mind and a local lad at that. He was the first Luton Town player I saw score for me at an away match. This being a 2-0 victory away to Northampton in 1968-69 season on a very snow pitch at the County ground, which they shared with the Northants County Cricket Club.

And the legendary John Motson, another hero of mind, and have meet a few times as various events plus a quick hello during his many visits to Kenilworth Road, as being another local lad living in St Albans. With John celebrating his 50th year as commentator with the BBC there should be very many happy stories on the night including that interview with the Super Sub of Maine Road, Manchester ‘Raddy Antic’ with that wonder goal that kept the Hatters in what was then the top League of English football for a further 8 seasons.

Can’t wait for another evening of LTFC nostalgia.

    Cheers and COYH’s !!!
