At recent social events LTST have provided a Twitter feed for supporters’ around the world that for one reason or another cannot make the event on the night. Our evening with Luton Town manager Nathan Jones’ was no exception as while the event was hugely enjoyed by over 100 supporters in the Eric Morecambe Suite, our Twitter page @lutontownST received an extra 59 new followers, and upwards of 300 interactions as the event was re-tweeted from the official club twitter.
Imagine our surprise the following morning when we discover that the no less than the BBC have picked up on the story on their website taking direct quotes for their article!
The event, hosted by social events chief Mark Chapman with technical support from Colin Adamson and June Adamson, and with Brian Thompson on the doors, was tweeted throughout by LTST’s Press and Social Media Officer Kevin Harper. Kevin said, “It was pretty hectic at times but I think I managed to capture the main points. We must have done something right with the BBC Sport website picking up on half of the quotes!”
In recent years LTST have endeavoured to hike up our social media presence on Twitter, Facebook and have in the last few days have opened a new Instagram account. All can be found by typing in @lutontownST on the respective social media platforms.
Our next event will be the Presentation Evening on April 23rd. If you can’t be at Venue 360 on the night then you will be able to follow the awards as they happen from Kevin via @lutontownST.
And if you can’t do that, maybe it’ll be on the BBC …
